Christmas Chutney

Serve a dollop of this fragrant chutney with your holiday roast—or enjoy it with your next weekday pork chops. It’s good with everything, and it makes the perfect hostess gift! Its complex flavour comes courtesy of the sweet dried fruit, the tart fresh cranberries and apple, the caramelized brown sugar and the lively Holiday Blend coffee.

  • 1 Combine apricots, raisins, sugar, and coffee in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring a few times.
  • 2 Add cranberries, apple, ginger, and zest, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • 3 Place in small jars for the perfect hostess gift

  • ½ cup dried apricots, chopped
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup (8 oz) of Van Houtte® Holiday Blend brewed
  • 3 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and cut into ¼ in. (5 mm) cubes
  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) lemon zest
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) candied ginger, cut in strips
