Choco-orange Dalgona iced coffee

Cool your taste buds this summer with a dalgona coffee! Simple and smooth-tasting, this whipped iced beverage is the web’s new favourite drink. In our version, bright notes of orange and nutmeg mix with the great taste of Van Houtte® Instant Coffee and a generous helping of cocoa.

    Combine the first five ingredients together in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

    Beat them together for 3-5 minutes with a hand-held electric mixer on high speed, until the mixture forms a mousse that makes stiff peaks. You may alternatively use a whisk, and beat for 10-12 minutes.

    Fill two mugs half-way with ice, and pour the milk over the ice. Top the milk with the mousse and garnish with the orange zest and nutmeg.

  • 6 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp. hot water
  • 2 tsp. orange juice
  • 2 tsp. cocoa powder
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 pinches orange zest
  • 2 pinches grated nutmeg
